I’ve worked in finance for two decades.

For the past 12 years, I’ve been an advice only financial planner, and one of the first things almost everyone says to me before we start working together is either “I’m so embarrassed” or “I feel so disorganized”. 

Friend, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about. You’re a human being living through late stage capitalism, climate destruction, massive government overreach, human rights violations, and genocide. There are more important things to worry about than how much you’ve paid into the Canada Pension Plan, and I’m pretty sure that you’ve been doing your best.

Except that you still do need to pay your bills, buy groceries, and take care of yourself, your family, and your community, even now…especially now. We’re all standing in two worlds - the one we’re in and the one we’re struggling collectively to create.

The more bandwidth we free up by getting our financial information organized so that we can make informed decisions, the more energy we can invest in building a better world together.
